our own blueprint · read 01 · the audience
The homepage talked to everyone, so the one owner it actually helps never saw themselves.
the proof
“The same promise, word for word, across tens of thousands of websites.”
our old homepage
“Got their website prepped, good social media presence, but just not seeing those returns they want.”
founder interview
the read
The page spoke to “every website ever.” But the real buyer is one specific person: an owner with a good site and good social who still isn't getting leads. Nothing on the page was aimed at them.
what it means
That buyer reads the page, doesn't see themselves, and leaves. The page earned curiosity about branding, but not belief that this shop fixes their problem.
the first move
Rewrite the homepage headline to name that buyer and their problem. We did. It's the headline at the top of this page.
